Thunderbirds March

The exciting "Thunderbirds" tv series (filmed in Supermarionation) was one of the most popular children's programmes in the 1960s.  The theme music, specially written for the series by Barry Gray, makes an excellent march. It was first recorded in December 1964 at Olympic Studios in London.

By some the Thunderbirds March is considered to be one of the best TV themes ever written – perfect for the show and catchy when heard alone. Morag Reavley of BBC Online argues that the piece is "up there ... in the quintessential soundtrack of the Sixties" with the James Bond films and the songs of Frank Sinatra, Elvis and The Beatles.
