Harmonie Municipale de Cluny meets MRCO
On 7th July, 2018, the Harmonie Municipale de Cluny visited to give with us a joint performance, an eclectic mix of folk/orchestral music to enliven the soul.
From the medieval town of Cluny in Burgundy, the British debut of their civic orchestra, L’Harmonie Municipale under the baton of Didier Sarrien brought a stirring programme of music from throughout Europe. The Mawson Road Community Orchestra's programme included folk music from Eastern Europe and South America, a touch of Klezmer plus pieces by Handel, Purcell, Delibes, and Weill.
